Celestial Bodies

One of my favorite paintings created using rich vibrant watercolor paints and black charcoal my son and I collected from the forest. Out on a hike we came upon a burnt tree that was fully covered with perfect charcoal for the picking. I absolutely love the unorthodox technique of combining watercolors with charcoal. The flow pigment of the watercolors create a very interesting contrast to the earthy dark black charcoal texture.
